The main product that Health Box has become known for has its roots in the coal mining industry. The product is quite simply a (Non-Medicated Formula) health soap with qualities that may be beneficial to people who suffer from skin problems such as dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, nappy rash, cradle cap, bed sores and athletes foot. While the soap has proven to be beneficial for many people of all ages over the years of use, Health Box make no claims that it will benefit everyone with a skin problem.

As we have said the soap can trace its origins back to the coal mining industry and the nature of this work saw many miners suffering from skin problems and over time the ingredients that make up the health soap had been tried and perfected by people in the industry. With the demise of the coal mining industry the secrets of the soap were nearly forgot about. It was the need to work on the soap to help people and develop the soap to today’s natural product and subsequent marketing for sale to the public.

The companies name is derived from the word that reflects what the soap is about HEALTH and the surname of the owner Jim BOX. Having been diagnosed with Industrial Disease No: 42. (Industrial Dermatitis) in 1978 while working for the National Coal Board, Jim has taken the formula for an original soap and now blends the natural ingredients to produce a truly environmentally friendly hand made soap.

The company has now developed a range of soaps that are again natural products to add a variety to the range.

To compliment the health soap we have a specially developed Laundry Powder to stop contact/re-contact of infected skin particles form clothin,towels and bedding.

Along with the health soap and laundry powder there is the Sensitive shaving soap and sensitive moisturiser for delicate areas.
